An alternative treatment for depression

TMS is an FDA-cleared, non-drug, non-invasive way to treat depression with no systemic side effects

Approximately 45% of patients with major depression are believed to have treatment-resistant depression (TRD). These patients fail to alleviate their symptoms after at least two trials of antidepressants. When antidepressants fail to provide relief, TMS can provide a non-invasive, non-medication alternative treatment for depression.

Key Benefits

Targeted treatment for Depression & OCD
Stand-alone treatment or alongside medication
Non-drug, non-sedating, and non-systemic
FDA-cleared and covered by most insurance plans

Hope is available

TMS uses gentle magnetic pulses to re-activate the parts of the brain responsible for depression. With our convenient center locations and hours, we make sure you’re able to fit TMS Therapy into your schedule.

Treatment with TMS is easy

TMS is much more patient-friendly in that it does not require sedation, patients can drive themselves to and from therapy, and there is little or no discomfort for most patients. This is a great new alternative for patients who have not seen success from antidepressants either due to side effects or lack of results.

  • Therapy sessions are conducted in your doctor’s office
  • You can return to normal activities right away
  • You are awake during treatment
  • There are no negative effects on memory or sleep
  • It’s covered by most health insurance plans

We are seeing outstanding results for patients with this therapy. One of the many benefits of TMS therapy comes from the fact that it is not a medication. Since we are working on the electrical area of the brain there are none of the side effects that are common among antidepressants. The only commonly reported side effect is irritation at the treatment site during the first few days of therapy.

From Our Patients

Dr. Williams is by far the best psychiatrist I’ve had. His staff has been super helpful and usually available or get back to you in a timely manner. I am definitely going to be a patient of Dr. Williams until he decides to retire.
